Joe-Joe’s journey began in the early ’90s as a founding member of the Digital Konfusion crew in New York. He honed his craft in legendary venues such as Limelight, Palladium, Tunnel, The Shelter, and Roxy, earning his place as a pioneer and veteran in the global DJ scene.

Carlos “Odi” Castillo, a Bronx-born DJ and producer, is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the stateside jungle scene, playing a key role in its stylistic evolution in New York City. Odi’s career took off after high school, when his promotion work for the iconic mid-90s NASA rave parties led to a steady DJing slot. At the time, the electronic music scene was dominated by “breaks” and “techno,” but Odi and his childhood friends began creating their own distinct sound by infusing their shared musical interests and cultural influences into their productions.

Growing up on 125th Street in Harlem, Odi introduced hip-hop elements into the emerging jungle sound, helping shape what would become the defining style of NYC and the East Coast jungle scene. In 1997, Odi and his crew, Digital Konfusion, launched their own record label and became central figures at NYC’s premier jungle event, Konkrete Jungle.

His career advanced further as he joined the Jungle Sky imprint and became the jungle and drum & bass buyer for Satellite Records, giving him access to the latest promos. This connection led to his role as an import buyer at Nemesis Music Distribution.

In 2003, Odi was initiated into the legendary Zulu Nation by TC Izlam, becoming the first junglist to join the iconic hip-hop organization. Odi and the Digital Konfusion crew continued to tour regularly, DJing nationwide and producing for various artists, maintaining a prolific presence in the music scene.

Now based in the Cincinnati area, Odi lives under the watchful eyes of his two cats, Edward and Nola, while continuing to influence the jungle and drum & bass community.

Tawanna Buchanan, known as Tawanna B, the Controversy Queen, earned her title in 2019 when she began her journey as a comedian and radio show host on E’s Way Radio. Based in Seattle, Washington, this comedy powerhouse captivates audiences with her bold, unfiltered delivery, delivering laughs without pulling punches.

As the host of I Heard That Podcast, Tawanna has graced comedy stages across the U.S., performing in cities like New York, New Jersey, Cleveland, and Atlanta. She has shared the spotlight with some of comedy’s biggest names, including Slick Johnson (Black Jesus), Lawrence Owens, Kenisha Buss, D Militant, the late AJ Johnson, Nate Jackson (Super Funny Comedy Club), Brad Upton, Ralph Porter, Michael Blackson, Hope Flood, and TK Kirkland.
