His musical journey began remarkably early: spinning records at age 3, DJing at 5, learning piano and songwriting from his mother at 7, and by 8 was performing as a singer, rapper, and dancer. These early passions launched a career that has never slowed down. While still in high school, Ice was already opening and DJing for legendary artists, which led him to study broadcasting at the Columbia School of Broadcasting in Atlanta, GA.

At just 18 years old, he signed his first record deal, launched a touring career, and entered the world of radio and TV. His radio breakthrough came in 1989 at WKWQ Hot 95.3 in Batesburg-Leesville, SC, where he was mentored by regional radio legends.
